An individual has two options of setting up an email account on his/her iOS device. They may either activate automatic set up mode or may follow manual method. You may choose the way as per your convenience. In this post I’ve shared important guidelines by following which you can easily set up
an email account on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
In case you use email provider such as Google, iCloud, or Yahoo, Mail can automatically set up your email account with using your email address and password.
Select Your Account
First of all you need to select your account by following the procedure mentioned below:
- You need to Go to Settings > Mail > Add Account.
- In case you are able to see your email provider, then tap it for adding your account automatically. In case you are unable to view your email provider then tap Other for adding your account manually.
Process of Setting up An Account Automatically
Once you have selected your email provider then follow the steps provider below:
- You are required to provide your email address and password.
- Then Tap Next and please wait till Mail verify your particular account.
- Now you need to select the content you would like to Sync.
- Finally Tap Save.

You need to ensure that you are known to your email setting. If you are not aware with that then you must look them up or contact your email service provider. Now, you are required to follow the steps provided below:
You need to Tap Add Account and then tap Other and thereafter, you need to tap Add Mail Account.
Now you’ll be asked to enter your name, email address, password and a brief of your account.
Then you are required to Tap Next. Mail will go for finding the email setting to complete the account setup process. If Mail has found your email setting then you need to tab Done for completing your account setup.
In case Mail is unable to find your email setting then you’ll be required to enter them manually. You need to tap Next after entering your email address and password. Now, you should follow the steps mentioned below:
First of all you need to select IMAP or POP for your new account. In case you are not sure then I suggest you to contact your email provider.
Now provide information related to Incoming and Outgoing Mail server. If you are not capable to provide this information then I suggest you to contact your email service provider.
In case your email setting are right then simply tap Save to finish. However, if the same has found wrong then you’ll be required to edit them.
